Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Acceptable Use Policy

This acceptable use policy sets out the terms under which you agree to access our website Studyclix.com.au. Our acceptable use policy applies to all users of, and visitors to, this site. Your use of this site means that you agree to accept all the policies contained both in our acceptable use policy and our terms of use.

We provide a forum for the dissemination of study tips, revision guides, sample answers and information on the Victorian VCE and Queensland QCE examinations prepared by VCAA, QCAA, ourselves, teachers, high achieving students and other authoritative persons.

Prohibited uses

You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You may not use our site:

  • in such a manner that breaches any local, national, international law or regulation,
  • in such a manner that is fraudulent, unlawful or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or outcome,

  • that your Studyclix account is specific to you and therefore access to any PLUS+ or PREMIUM features on that account only applies to the specific subject(s) chosen by you. You may change the subjects attached your account a maximum of three times in any one school year.

    • any equipment or network on which our site is stored,
    • any software used in the provision of our site or
    • any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

Except as permitted under the VCAA’s Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy or as expressly permitted under the Australian Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), end-users are prohibited from reproducing, adapting or communicating the VCAA material incorporated into Studyclix.

 

Content standards

These content standards apply to material that is contributed by users of our site (contributions) together with the interactive services provided on this site. By registering with this website you are agreeing you are providing us with accurate, nonfraudulent information (Name, email address, school, year, subject list and whether you are a student or teacher). You may not impersonate any other person when registering for or registered with this website. You may not share your Studyclix account with anyone else. We reserve the right at any stage to terminate an account. Accounts can only be created by individuals who are able to enter into legally binding contracts.

You may create a link to any page within this website. If you do create a link to a page on this website, please include a reference to the name 'Studyclix.com.au'. In addition, you do so at your own risk and the exclusions and limitations set out above will apply to your use of this website by linking to it.

Every effort is made by us to monitor the Studyclix Discussion forum and remove any inappropriate or offensive content as soon as is reasonably possible.

We at all times strive to assess any possible risks to our users (and, in particular, for children) from third parties and we decide on a case by case basis whether or not to use moderation of the relevant service in the light of those risks.

Every effort has been made to ensure that examination material used on this website is accurate and complete. If in any doubt, refer to the full examination material archive available on the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority website. Subject syllabuses change, in the case where a subject syllabus has changed there may still be examination material on this website relating to a previous syllabus. Such material may remain on the website if it is deemed to still retain its value as a reference of past exam material.

Studyclix runs regular competitions. For each competition the following terms will apply.

Studyclix Vouchers

Each voucher will entitle the bearer to a price reduction of $10.00 on the purchase of a Studyclix subscription. Only one voucher may be used per account. These vouchers are not legal tender and are not exchangeable for cash.

Refund Policy

Should you be unhappy with the service supplied by Studyclix.com.au you may be entitled to a refund at the discretion of studyclix.com.au. If you are dissatisfied with the service you have received please contact us at hello@studyclix.com.au.

No refunds will be granted if it is discovered that the use of the site breached these terms of use for the site. This does not affect your statutory rights. If you believe your Credit Card / Laser Card has been used fraudulently on this site please inform us immediately either by e-mail or in writing at hello@studyclix.com.au.

Studyclix PLUS+

The following terms and conditions apply to users who upgrade to a paid Studyclix PLUS+ account:

Studyclix PLUS+ gives paid users access to content unavailable to Studyclix BASIC users. The list of content available to each account type is available at www.studyclix.com.au/account/pricing. The items on this list may change at any time and is at the discretion of Studyclix PTY LTD.

A yearly ($59) upgrade allows you to access all PLUS+ content in your selected subjects for a period of twelve months from the date payment is received. A user may not share their account information with other users. This would constitute of a breach of these terms of use.

A Studyclix PLUS+ account does not facilitate more than one user logging in to that account at any one time. A Studyclix PLUS+ account only facilitates access to the subjects selected on that account. These subjects must reflect your year and with a maximum number of 12 subjects being selected.

Once payment has been confirmed, a user will gain access to Studyclix PLUS+ content within a period not exceeding 24 hours.

A user may cancel their account at any time.

In the case of a teacher purchasing a yearly ($30) upgrade on behalf of their students, access to all Studyclix PLUS+ content will be granted for a period of twelve months from the date upon which payment for the upgrade is received. The codes issued to a teacher are only valid for the quantity of upgrades purchased and it is the sole responsibility of the teacher to distribute these codes to the students who have paid for such codes.

In the case of a school purchasing an upgrade on behalf of the students in their school, access to all Studyclix PLUS+ content will be granted for the period agreed on the invoice and begins from the date on which payment for the upgrade is received. The codes issued to a school are only valid for the quantity of upgrades agreed at time of purchase and it is the sole responsibility of the school to distribute these codes to the relevant students. Students sharing such codes with students from a different school would represent a breach of these terms of use and could lead to a student’s account being closed.

Waiver

Failure of either Party to insist upon strict performance of any provision of these terms of use or any agreement or the failure of either Party to exercise any right or remedy to which it, he or they are entitled hereunder shall not constitute a waiver thereof and shall not cause a diminution of the obligations under these terms of use or any agreement. No waiver of any of the provisions of these terms of use or any agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both you and us.

General

The law of Australia governs these terms of use. By accessing this website you consent to these terms of use and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts in all disputes arising out of such access. If any of these terms are deemed invalid or unenforceable for any reason (including, but not limited to the exclusions and limitations set out above), then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be severed from these terms and the remaining terms will continue to apply.

Failure of the Company to enforce any of the provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions and any Agreement, or failure to exercise any option to terminate, shall not be construed as waiver of such provisions and shall not affect the validity of these Terms and Conditions or of any Agreement or any part thereof, or the right thereafter to enforce each and every provision. The Company reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. Any changes to our Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Statement, Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements will be posted on our web site 10 days prior to these changes taking place. Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers within Australia. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Our registered user’s records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than if legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities. Clients have the right to request sight of, and copies of any and all Client Records we keep, on the proviso that we are given reasonable notice of such a request.

We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products. You will always have the right to unsubscribe from any emailing list we communicate with.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Additionally, for systems administration, detecting usage patterns and troubleshooting purposes, our web servers automatically log standard access information including browser type, access times/open mail, URL requested, and referral URL. This information is not shared with third parties and is used only within this Company on a need-to-know basis. Any individually identifiable information related to this data will never be used in any way different to that stated above without your explicit permission.

What do we use your personal information for, why and for how long

Your data may be used for the following purposes:

To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the purposes for which we process it and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.

  • Registration cookies. When you register with the Studyclix, we generate cookies that let us know whether you are signed in or not. Our servers use these cookies to work out which account you are signed in with, and if you are allowed access to a particular service. It also allows us to associate any comments you post with your username.

How do I turn cookies off?

All of the cookies generated by the Studyclix website are strictly necessary in order to use the account. Any analytics cookies set are anonymous. We therefore do not offer the functionality to disable cookies.

It is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website. However, we cannot tell if you are signed in without using cookies, so you would not be able to log-in or use your Studyclix account. You block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
